I remember reading about how the development team had these commissioned specially as a further nod to the old games, I love how they have a sense of humor about it. The original box covers were so terrible that it's awesome to see them recognize it.

Looks like the old school MM 1-2 covers that in turn were inspired by old-school sci fi. The cover art really is great but Wily looks like he's in need of plastic and reconstructive surgery. I think all his battles with the blue bomber are finally taking their collective toll on him. I like the roving malicious robot in the background. Sheer genius! The artist deserves much praise!

Well I like it, but I'm sure some people will call me out for bad tastes. lol. If any of you ever loved Buck Rogers, Battle Star Galactica the original series, and Flash Gordon you'll better understand why I think the cover is great.
